Venice

It’s in Italy and that’s enough for me. Add the intrigue of a city with no roads, just canals and I’m in. With over 100 small islands to explore it is sure to keep my days occupied. History, shopping and good food… can’t wait to visit. Have you visited Venice? I would love to hear your suggestions of things to do, places to see, best restaurants and any other tidbits.

Anti’s and Pros

A few years ago I experienced a situation where I was the victim of a home invasion.  Well, that’s what it was in my mind.  A man burst into my home, through a window, and assaulted me in my living room at 3:00 A.M.  I was sure it was a crime!  However, I was told that because this person jumped out of a moving car in which he was “spooked” that somehow his action was justified.  The fact that he never asked for help but instead grabbed me and tussled with me covering me in his blood and splattering it…

I CAN COOK BUT I’D RATHER WATCH THE GAME!

Why is it assumed that if there is any cooking to be done it should be the women?  First, let me say that many chefs are men!  Is that a skill that is prohibited from entering the home, like a leave it at work kind of thing? You have always been able to coordinate.  You make the necessary adjustments.  You know how to improvise.  You have flair. But today, right now, something is off. Aaahhhh, I’ve got it!  The colors are similar but the patterns are not connected.  Something is missing.  Maybe a day off to refresh would be helpful.  Perhaps you need to have…

Miracle Minded

We all love miracles.  They give us hope and allow our faith to grow. However, unless the magnitude is huge, and it impacts us specifically, it may be overlooked.  Because they are not recognized on a day to day basis, they are very special.  I assume that if they were blatantly obvious all the time, they would become common and loose the very essence of being a miracle.   Most of us have had an occasion where we hoped, wished, and/or prayed for a miracle.  You may be doing so right now.  Needing a miracle implies that something is beyond…
